August 16th Peter Metz, Johannes Metz and Vallentin Metz, brothers, were indentured five years ago. Peter is now free and seeks his brothers. Matheas Groh, on Little Swatara Creek (Lebanon or Berks County). September 16th Five years ago at Christmas a widow complained to a man on the street in Philadelphia that she had many small children and could not pay for their passage on the ship. The man took one child and paid part of the passage costs. He took the child, a boy of 8, to his home, 30 miles distant, to consult his wife on the matter of retaining the boy. The mother did not get the man's name, and she now wishes to hear from him. The boy, named Christian Meyer, is now 13 years old. He was born in Meisenheim, "auf dem Dandes Hoff." The mother lives with the Welsh in Montgomery Township (Montgomery County), with Henrich Kremer.
